Karl Rove has resigned, and CNN has proven (without even trying) that he truly is a font of unending malevolence.

And I quote:

When asked for his reaction to those who say he’s being “run out of town,” Rove responded, “That sounds like the rooster claiming to have called up the sun.”

So wait, you’re comparing yourself to … the sun? Way to be humble there, Karl.

Another quote from CNN’s article, my favorite:

Rove said the first thing he plans to do after leaving the White House is “go dove hunting in West Texas …

“So Karl, what are you going to do now?”

“Why, I’m going to do what any decent, red-blooded American neocon would do! I’m going to shoot the bejeezus out of the Christian symbol of peace and tranquility with a high-powered rifle, that’s what I’m going to do!”

If he doesn’t leave the press conference this morning by transmogrifying into a swarm of bats and flying away, I’m going to be sorely disappointed.
