Thanks Alex,
I replaced the quotes that I had copied from this post with ones that I typed in and voilà!
In the mean time I did find another workaround where I extracted the Yukon driver from 10.5.6 and everybody's playing nicely so far and thank God because this 'obscure' little problem rendered my system unusable for real time auidio capture and synthesis!
Thanks again

Hi Al,

If you could post the specific content of the AppleScript error, I'll see if I can help. You should make sure that your quotes are straight-quotes and not smart-quotes (or "curly quotes"), as that might screw up the AppleScript.

Hi Alex and everybody,
I am having this Appleyukon2 kext issue on my MBP 2.33 10.6.3.
I use my system for real time audio and midi as I am a professional guitarist.
For now I removed the kext and I am testing what's left of my system for stability/ performance.
I need to ask for a little clarification in the AppleScript to ping the router workaround.
When i copy the text, substituting my routers ip I am getting AppleScript errors... I have tried to figure this out but I am an AppleScript newbie.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Al

Huh, that is really odd; so it only triggers when it's idle? Well, that's one way to solve it I suppose.

Thanks, this seems to have solved my problem as well.
I too experienced this exact problem (after installing PHPFileNavigator - but it is hard to imagine that it would have anything to do with this). After the procedure described above, things are back to normal.

Thanks, that solved that particular problem. Now if someone can identify the root cause of Airport connections coming and going I might be happy - time outs when reconnecting piss me off.

And today, my wired/powerline connection is giving me a fuss. It is connected fine UNTIL you try to use it.

But again, thanks, every other link I found on Google danced around this particular issue and focused on other messages in the console log!

I tried the directions twice, but no success. I am still getting console messages essentially the same as reported above every 15 minutes or so, 24 hours a day. Really annoying since it fills up my log file with useless error messages. Apple has known about this bug for months. Why can't they fix it? I am running OS X 10.6.2 on an iMac.
